Another Vulnerable Road User Hit by a Car on Monterey Blvd

In the evening on Thursday Oct 13th, a bicyclist was hit by a car while riding west on Monterey Blvd, between Edna and Foerster Streets. The bicyclist was badly injured. It was a hit and run — the driver did not stop. Fortunately a good citizen who witnessed the collision stopped to help out. Here is a news report on CBSlocal.com. Neighbors on the local site Nextdoor.com report that the driver has been caught. This post on Friend of Monterey Blvd identifies the injured cyclist as Bob Donjacour.

D7 Candidates’ Forum: Civil and Informative

Our District 7 Candidates’ Forum was a success last night. The event was well attended, with over one hundred present. The candidates took turns with short answers to numerous questions, ranging from the crime problem to pedestrian safety to leash laws to rent control. Longtime Sunnyside Resident Ming Louie Hit by Car on Monterey Blvd and Injured

Ming Louie, a longtime Sunnyside resident and hard-working member of the SNA Greening Committee was hit by a car on Monterey Boulevard on Saturday night and suffered injuries to his legs. He was taken to SF General Hospital and had extensive surgery.
