Ming has been a member of the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association for many years, and has put in many hours on improving the neighborhood. Get well soon, Ming!

Pedestrian safety on Monterey Blvd has been a concern for Sunnyside residents for decades. After years of work, Jon Winston and other residents working with Friends of Monterey Blvd were successful in getting the speed limit reduced to 25 MPH.

Yet as anyone who lives here knows, cars often far exceed that limit, as well as running our set of three stop signs between Foerster Street and Circular Ave.

We are grateful to ongoing efforts by the Ingleside Police Station officers in enforcing the law along Monterey, yet as those who have been involved in the issue know, much more can be done to create a safer pedestrian environment, such as a flashing cross walk signal at the Detroit St crossing.
