The Balboa Reservoir Community Advisory Committee is meeting in an online form on Wednesday April 8th at 6 PM (not April 6th as previously posted).

Here are the instructions for public access to the Balboa Reservoir Virtual CAC meeting:

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to join and participate in the CAC meeting. We will post these online as soon as we have successfully completed a dry run of the meeting, testing both internal and public communication (hopefully by today). Please note that you *do not* need access to Microsoft products in order to access the online meeting–you will need internet access and a web browser in order to view the meeting online.

  • If Internet access is not available, you can listen to the meeting by dialing (866) 434-5269 and enter access code 8863144.

Changes in Muni service to have big impact on Sunnyside

As of this week, all three Muni buses (36, 43, 23) serving the Sunnyside neighborhood will cease to run. The 8-Bayshore and the 49-Van Ness/Mission will still operate on Ocean Ave, leaving from City College Station. The 44-O’Shaughnessy will be reduced to the eastern portion of its route, terminating in Glen Park. (BART continues to run Monday-Friday from 5am-9pm Saturday and Sunday from 8am-9pm.)

SFMTA Prepares to Deliver Essential Trips Muni Service Only

In the rapidly changing environment caused by COVID-19, the SFMTA is making additional updates to Muni service. While ridership has fallen significantly, our bus operators still serve approximately 100,000 passengers a day – getting nurses, cooks, custodians, and other essential workers to their jobs. The SFMTA has instituted some of the strongest health protections for our operators, mechanics, car cleaners and customers to minimize risk of transmission on our buses. These efforts have been paired with our continued effort to maintain regular service, so remaining essential workers have the space to maintain recommended distances on Muni. District 7 Call for Volunteers: Senior Outreach Society (SOS)

Interested in lending a hand, and joining an easy and safe effort to respond to the COVID-19 epidemic?

Join the District 7 Senior Outreach Society (“SOS”) Team!

As a Senior Outreach Society or SOS team member, you will call seniors in our district and see if they are safe and doing well sheltering at home.

Some folks might have a need for help and you’ll be able to connect them with the aid that they need, such as medication deliveries. Other folks who have been sheltering in place just need to hear and speak to a friendly neighbor.

It’s easy to volunteer and we are holding free trainings and on-going support! We will get through this together and you can make this time easier for a lot of folks by volunteering your time and friendly voice.

New: Workers And Families First Paid Sick Leave Program

On behalf of Mayor London N. Breed please read below for important information regarding the WORKERS AND FAMILIES FIRST PAID SICK LEAVE PROGRAM

Dear Community Partner:

Earlier this month I announced measures to provide financial relief to San Francisco businesses and their employees, including the new San Francisco Workers and Families First Paid Sick Leave Program. The program includes $10 million in funding to support businesses and nonprofits to provide additional paid sick leave to employees, over and above their existing policies. The goal of the program is to reduce short and long-term economic impacts on San Francisco businesses and their employees caused by COVID-19.
