Children’s Mask Making at the Sunnyside Conservatory – Sunday October 6, 2:30 p.m.

Join Blu Fahey of the Randall Museum in a Mask Making Workshop for ages 6-12.  Sunday, October 6, 2:30 – 4:30. Free. All Materials Provided. Light Refreshments Served.  Younger children are welcome to come along, but may need help with the project. Be sure to return to the Conservatory on Sunday, October 27 for our beloved annual Pumpkin Carving. Co-sposonsored with SF Recreation and Park Department.

(Note: for all children, adult must remain at Conservatory during workshop; no drop offs.)

Greening/Weeding Sunday Oct 06, 9am-11:30 Monterey Blvd.

Keren needs your help on Sunday to weed the Palm Tree beds from Edna up toward Ridgewood.  Please come even for a short time – it all makes a difference. Meet at Edna (near the Deli) at 9am. Bring your gardening gloves; we
have weeding tools etc.

(Why only Keren? There are two work groups this Sunday. Bob will work with a small group to clean up trash on Circular now that PG&E has finished.)

Ever wish you could ask someone in Congress what they’re doing about health care, national security or any big issue of the day?

Now you can. Congresswoman Jackie Speier will take questions on Monday, October 7 at 6:30p at the West Portal Playground Clubhouse (131 Lenox, above the Muni station).

The town hall is free. All are welcome.

The sponsor is the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club, which proudly recognizes and celebrates gay residents on San Francisco’s Westside.

Everyone is welcome to attend — gay or straight and any political party. Congresswoman Speier represents everyone living in Southwestern San Francisco and this is your opportunity to meet her and ask questions.

St. Finn Barr Catholic School and Parish is bringing back a tradition of old – The Feast of St. Finn Barr Festival! The event begins with Mass at 10 AM with the Festival going from 11 AM until 5 PM. This will be a food festival and carnival with Live Music, Fire Engine BBQ, Beer Garden, Wine Booth, Carnival Style Games, Jumper House, Face Painting, Various Food Booths and a Guaranteed great time!
