Our neighbors at New Mission Terrace’s summer tradition is back. This Saturday morning, the community gathers behind a gleaming hook-and-ladder for an old-fashioned walking parade through the neighborhood. Neighbors, families, bikes, scooters, strollers, dogs — everyone is welcome, first-timers and old-timers alike.

A police unit leads the procession, followed by the hook-and-ladder — then the community. The parade winds past Roxie Food Center at San Jose and Havelock before heading into the big open field near Balboa Pool. The fire truck parks at the pool lot for one last round of photos. Then: birthday cake at the park.
Decorate everything — feel free to deck out your home, bike, stroller, dog, or anything else. The more festive, the better!
