Jun 9: Balboa Reservoir Community Tour of SF affordable housing

The developer team for the Balboa Reservoir housing project is holding a series of community engagement events. Previously the walk to the Balboa Park Station was addressed. On June 9th there is a tour of affordable housing already in place–so participants can see what it is like, in anticipation of what will be built at the Balboa Reservoir site.

The Balboa Reservoir development team invites you to take a free, guided tour of the BRIDGE Housing and Mission Housing portfolios! Get a first-hand view of the role BRIDGE Housing and Mission Housing Development Corporation play in building, preserving and managing the affordable housing stock of San Francisco.

All four Sunnyside Participating Budgeting projects won!

Just released: the winners of this year’s District 7 Participatory Budgeting include the four projects designed by Sunnyside residents for our neighborhood:

  • Vision Zero / traffic calming on Judson Ave;
  • Sunnyside Elementary School playground improvements;
  • Increased pedestrian safety at the Mangels/Foerster crosswalk;
  • Needed tables and chairs for the Sunnyside Playground Plaza, so that it can be used for events.
