Calling all gardeners and photographers! Want your work to be published and distributed to 35,000 households? Here’s your first summer project.

Every year our Water Pollution Prevention Program creates a vibrant and educational calendar for our customers, offering information on less-toxic gardening and pest-control methods. For our 2017 Photo Contest, we’d like to see examples of beautiful native plants in an urban environment. Read full details here and submit your photos by August 5th!

Connecting with Community

The Central Bayside System Improvement Project (CBSIP) team is in the community this summer presenting at local neighborhood associations and community groups. Check our calendar for days and locations for presentations, as well as other events the outreach team will be participating in. For CBSIP specifics and timeline, visit our webpage.

Women in Construction Workshop

This August 5th, join the SFPUC’s Contractors Assistance Center for the Women In Construction Workshop, featuring ways to help women foster new relationships and plan for upward mobility and success in the Construction Industry.

A panel of highly successful women will provide basic tools for surviving and thriving in the industry. Register today as space is limited and share our eventpage with someone you think will be interested!

Sincerely,

The SFPUC Sewer System Communications Team

Save the Date – Work Day at the Sunnyside Conservatory – September 22nd

Please join the Friends of Sunnyside Conservatory for their quarterly work day on Saturday, September, 22nd from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m. Enjoy a wonderful day at the Conservatory pulling weeds and doing whatever the Fearless Leader, probably Gardener Bob, recommends.

There will be a wedding at 2 p.m. that day, so rest assured your efforts will be appreciated! They do need to be on site in a timely fashion, as everyone will need to be cleared out shortly after noon.

If you have a favorite weeding tool, they suggest that you bring it. They will ask Recreation & Park to water on Friday, which should help with weeding.

Coffee and something for munching will be provided, so please join in the fun.
