Balboa Reservoir Construction will Start in October 2025

The Balboa Reservoir Development Team is set to begin construction in October 2025, with preparatory work for Building E following soon after.

To keep the community informed, a meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 30th, from 10 am to 12 pm at Unity Plaza. Representatives from the design, architecture, and general contractor teams will be there to discuss the construction schedule for the first phase of the project. An informal meet and greet is planned for Saturday, August 2 at Philz Coffee.

Pre-construction activities are scheduled to begin in early August. Starting around August 4th and lasting for two weeks, Nibbi Brothers will be importing soil and base rock using dump trucks from 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The imported materials will be stockpiled on-site near the berm and covered with dust suppressant to comply with San Francisco’s mitigation requirements.

The project website has dummy type under the News and Updates section, but the developers promise to update schedules and contact information by August 18th.

Upcoming dates:

8/02/25: Philz Coffee at Unity Plaza meet and greet
8/04/25: Material Storage Starts
8/15/25: Material Storage Stops
8/18/25: Website update with project schedules and further information
