Adopt a Drain, San Francisco!

The rain in Sunnyside stays mainly in the drain. This week’s rain is hopefully a preview of a watery winter to come.

Want to ensure the water goes down the drain? You can adopt one or more of San Francisco’s 25,000+ storm drains. By pledging to keep your drain free of leaves and debris, you are joining your neighbors in helping to protect the environment, manage stormwater, and minimize flooding.

Ingleside Station welcomes a new captain

Courtesy of our neighbors at Glen Park Association, full article available here.

The Ingleside Station has a new Captain, Amy Hurwitz. Even though Captain Hurwitz is new to the rank of captain, she is a veteran of Ingleside Station, having worked here from 2005-2012 as a patrol officer and a plainclothes officer. Captain Hurwitz is very familiar with the Ingleside District and has an excellent understanding of the challenges that community members face.
