Support Wind in the Willows, one of SF’s oldest non-profit pre-schools, located on Monterey Blvd in Sunnyside by dining-in or ordering from Paxti’s Pizza (Noe Valley) on Tuesday February 5th.

Patxi’s Pizza will be donating 10% of sales from all of their customer purchases on Tuesday February 5th. (ALL DAY, LUNCH & DINNER) to Wind in the Willows.

Already have plans? Take home a half-baked pizza for another time or buy a gift card to use later.

Sunnyside Monterey Blvd. Monthly Weeding – Sunday, February 3 at 9 a.m.

The first of the Greening group’s monthly workdays will be on February 3, 9am – 11am, on Circular Ave.
Meet between Baden and Congo first and we’ll see how far we can get. Bring your favorite tools, gloves, kneeling pads, and your safety jacket. We’ll supply extras.
We’ll be weeding, collecting trash, and possibly planting donated succulents.
We finish with coffee and baked goodies!

Highlights from the notes:

  • Captain Tim Falvey has been officially named captain
  • Crime trends:  Robbies down, Part I and property crimes lightly up, auto theft significantly higher,
  • The Captain discussed the “3 Es” framework for working on public safety problems:  education, environment, and enforcement. This will be a priority for the year
    for the Community Police Advisory Board
  • SFPD and the MTA have a 2013 initiative called Focus on the Five, in which each police district focuses on its five most dangerous intersections for pedestrians and the vehicle violations

Mardi Gras Zydeco Dance – Saturday, January 19, 8:00 p.m. at St. Finn Barr

Laissez les bon temps rouler!
