Poisoned meatballs again threaten dogs in Twin Peaks

We first heard about this yesterday afternoon from Supervisor Scott Wiener, who sent this note:

“It’s important for people to know that whoever is engaging in this sociopathic behavior — trying to poison people’s dogs — is doing it again.  It’s important to spread the word so that people and their pets can be safe.”

San Francisco — A San Francisco animal control officer Saturday found 35 meatballs suspected to be poisoned and deadly to dogs and cats scattered through a Twin Peaks neighborhood where a similar incident occurred last year.

After a resident called Animal Care and Control Friday to report finding fragments of suspicious meatballs, the department sent an officer to scour the area near Crestline Drive and Parkridge Drive Saturday.

Rec & Park Summer 2014 Resource Fair

DCYF, SFUSD, and the SF Rec & Park Department will hold the annual Summer Resource Fair on Saturday, March 8 from 10am to 2pm at Balboa High School. The Summer Resource Fair is a free, family-oriented event that showcases the multitude of summer camps and other programs for young people in and around San Francisco. The Fair will feature over 150 exhibitors with offerings for every age group, from toddlers to tweens to teenagers. Need to get in a good deed for March 8?
