Sunnyside Greening Day! Sunday December 7 from 9 – 11 am at Congo/Circular Ave

We have to do a trash clean-up along Circular! It’s looking really bad, and trash invites trash, as you know BUT Just 30 minutes of your time is invaluable!

So, this Sunday, 9am – 11am, please help the greening team clean up along the fence garden Judson to Monterey. (And while you do this, admire the now-green plants, especially the succulents!)
We’ll meet opposite the Congo triangle, and go west, east, & behind the fence as usual.
Bring sturdy gloves, and pick-up sticks if you have them. (A few have “walked” to other homes.)
Thank you!

District 7’s Participatory Budget Community Meeting on Dec. 8th

Dear District 7 Community Members,

I hope you will be able to join me this upcoming Monday for District 7’s 2014-15 Participatory Budget Community Meeting. We are calling on neighborhood groups and community members to develop project ideas for $300,000 we set aside for pedestrian safety and quality-of-life improvements in District 7.

Come learn about the projects selected last year that improved open spaces and civic activity in our District, and how you can apply for funding to improve your school, your neighborhood park or your street.

I am looking forward to hearing from all of you about project ideas.  Please stop by on Monday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the West Portal Playground Clubhouse (131 Lenox) to learn more about Participatory Budgeting and the type of proposals we are accepting.  At the end of March, District 7 residents will get the chance to vote on the final projects to fund.

KICK-OFF COMMUNITY MEETING
Monday, December 8, 2014 | 6:00pm to 7:30pm
West Portal Playground Clubhouse | 131 Lenox Way (between Ulloa and Taraval)

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Matthias Mormino at Matthias.Mormino@sfgov.org.

Thank you for taking the time.

See you soon,

Norman Yee
