We are in the process of updating our Public Participation Plan, which guides SFMTA’s efforts in reaching out to the public and providing opportunities for gathering feedback on its services, projects and programs to incorporate in its decision-making process. Friends of the Urban Forest—in collaboration with Sunnyside Neighborhood Association—are planting in Sunnyside, Glen Park, Miraloma Park and Westwood Park on Saturday,  September 10th, 2016. More information: www.fuf.net/sunnyside

Friends of the Urban Forest has funding to subsidize 75% of the costs to plant trees. We hope to plant 60 trees, but need at least 20 signups for it to happen.

Upcoming I-280 Off-Ramp Closures at Ocean Ave

I am reaching out from the SFMTA to inform you about some upcoming construction impacts as part of the Balboa Park Station Area and Plaza Improvements project.

To improve pedestrian safety, the I-280 Southbound off-ramp on Ocean Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the following nights:

  • Thursday, July 21
  • Monday, July 25
  • Wednesday, August 3
  • Thursday, August 4

To exit the highway, vehicles can keep left and use the Geneva Avenue off-ramp (detour graphic below).
