SFMTA Hub Study Discussed

The SFMTA Board of Directors will consider a hub model for commuter shuttle buses at its regular meeting Tuesday, Nov. 15., 1 p.m., City Hall, Room 100 The public is invited to comment.

Balboa Reservoir Project CAC Meeting, Nov 14th

The Balboa Reservoir Project is a very large proposed development that will impact life for residents in Sunnyside (more here). Housing and park space are planned for the now undeveloped land to the west of City College. The Community Advisory Committee (BRCAC) is an unprecedented new aspect of development in San Francisco–and a vital part of deciding what that project will look like going forward. You can be a part of that process–BRCAC meetings are open to all community members.

The next meeting of the Community Advisory Committee is Monday, November 14th, 2016. More about the meeting here. It will be held at the Riordan High School Theater, 175 Phelan Ave, 6:15pm. To contact Committee Chair Lisa Spinali, email  BalResCACChair@gmail.com.

The process for selecting a developer for the site has begun. Here’s the timeline:

From SFMTA: Stop Changes to Muni Routes 29 and 49 & Detours on Ocean Avenue

For approximately one month anticipated to start Saturday, November 12 (was Nov 5), we will need to close eastbound Ocean Avenue between Geneva and San Jose avenues to make improvements around the Balboa Park Station. To accommodate the closures, Muni routes 29-Sunset and 49-Mission/Van Ness will be rerouted to Geneva Avenue.
