Monterey Boulevard Greening Projects

Kwiky Gardens: Two trees in 60′ strip along Foerster Street at intersection of Monterey Blvd, on the corner of Kwik and Convenient, 600 Monterey. There is no parking allowed on Foerster, so no need for ‘courtesy strips’ for those exiting parked cars. Friends of the Urban Forest estimates that the space could only have two trees, given code restrictions.

Gennessee Gardens: One tree in a 21′ strip along Gennessee Street at intersection of Monterey Blvd, on the corner of Won Kok restaurant (700 Monterey). There is parking allowed here, so ‘courtesy strips’ would be needed. Location of chronic illegal sidewalk parking of multiple cars for restaurant customers may be issue.
