Improvements at Balboa Park Station Jan.-Mar. 2018
Over the next few months, we will continue our work to make improvements to Balboa Park Station. We will create new, more secure entrances, relocate the fare gates for better access, remove the old ceiling and lighting and replace with improved ceiling and lighting, improve the stairway to Geneva Ave., and create an improved and more aesthetic wall on the east side of the station using a design created with input from the community.

For this work, the contractor has constructed a secure area where they will keep their equipment. In addition, barricades will be constructed during each phase of the work to guide passengers safely past the work areas. Please look out for signs and barricades and follow instructions from BART personnel. There will always be an accessible pathway through the station.

The work is planned to be completed by the end of March 2018. We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause you and thank you for your patience.
