1970 OCEAN AVENUE – Invitation to attend the pre-application meeting

Goldman Architects is pleased to invite you and your members to attend a pre-application meeting for the 1970 Ocean Avenue renovation and restoration and new housing project. This project, designed by Goldman Architects, will restore the historic El Rey Theater building and create much-needed housing.

The pre-application meeting will take place on Jun 7th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., at Ingleside Library meeting room (please see attached for more information). During this meeting, we will provide information about the project, answer any questions you may have, and gather feedback from the community. We hope that you can join us.

Detroit Steps Maintenance Day: Sunday 5/28 at 10am

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, SUN 5/28 @ 10am

This is beautiful weather to enjoy being outside!

We hope you can join us Sunday morning for our Monthly Clean Up / Maintenance Day on the Detroit Steps and surrounding areas in Sunnyside.

We will remove the graffiti on the fence, do some gardening sweeping and generally clean up on and around the steps. The best part is we will all enjoy lunch together and hang out to enjoy this amazing holiday weekend. Please sign up to volunteer using the link below.

Join Simon Timony of Advocates 11, moderator Alex Mullaney (The Ingleside Light editor and SF Standard writer), and panelists Peter Tham (D11 resident and realtor at Loc Tham Group), and Corey Smith (Executive Director, Housing Action Coalition) to understand what San Francisco’s recently approved Housing Element means for the neighborhoods in D11 and on the westside. They will also update the community on the Balboa Park Reservoir project.
