SNA Senior Services Presentation a Success

With more than 35 seniors in attendance, Ann McWalters from DASS, Department of Aging and Senior Services, made a fantastic presentation outlining the different types of services available.  There was great enthusiasm from our participating seniors and future meeting topics may include legal services, transportation, and recreation activities available.  The talk was followed with a lovely lunch and seniors were able to connect with one another as well.

Save the Date – Work Day at the Sunnyside Conservatory – September 22nd

Please join the Friends of Sunnyside Conservatory for their quarterly work day on Saturday, September, 22nd from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m. Enjoy a wonderful day at the Conservatory pulling weeds and doing whatever the Fearless Leader, probably Gardener Bob, recommends.

There will be a wedding at 2 p.m. that day, so rest assured your efforts will be appreciated! They do need to be on site in a timely fashion, as everyone will need to be cleared out shortly after noon.

If you have a favorite weeding tool, they suggest that you bring it. They will ask Recreation & Park to water on Friday, which should help with weeding.

Coffee and something for munching will be provided, so please join in the fun.
