The schoolyard at Sunnyside Elementary School is having its Kick-Off event on Saturday Jan 20, 11am to 1pm. Now the yard will be available for community use on the weekends. Join your neighbors and local families for this fun opening event. SNA officers will be there at our table.  More about the city-wide program SF Shared Schoolyard Program: SFSharedSchoolyard.org

This event will have an emphasis on bikes and families, including  learn to ride with YBIKE.

Seen on the Streets: Speed humps finally being laid on Hearst Ave

Nine months after SFMTA approved speed humps for Hearst Ave between Edna and Foerster, it appears they are being laid. This block is home to two schools, Sunnyside Elementary and St Finn Barr School.

Though it doesn't look it, there is a hump of paving between the cones. Hearst Ave just west of Edna Street.
