Balboa Reservoir Project CAC Meeting, Dec 12th

The Balboa Reservoir Project is a very large proposed development that will impact life for residents in Sunnyside (more here). Housing and park space are planned for the now undeveloped land to the west of City College. The Community Advisory Committee (BRCAC) is an unprecedented new aspect of development in San Francisco–and a vital part of deciding what that project will look like going forward. You can be a part of that process–BRCAC meetings are open to all community members.

The next meeting of the Community Advisory Committee is Monday, December 12th 2016. More about the meeting here. It will be held at City College of San Francisco, Multi-Use Building, Room 140, 55 Phelan Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94112. 6:15pm. To contact Committee Chair Lisa Spinali, email  BalResCACChair@gmail.com.

The process for selecting a developer for the site has begun. Here’s the timeline:

by Will Carruthers, Hoodline Updated 1:30 pm, Friday, November 11, 2016

Construction on a final series of pedestrian safety and infrastructure improvements near the Balboa Park BART station will begin on Friday, resulting in temporary stop changes for two bus routes, street closures, weekend closures of a northbound freeway on-ramp, and more.

In a blog post published Wednesday, Muni announced temporary changes to the 29 and 49 bus lines for the duration of the month-long construction project, which is focused on the Ocean Avenue and Highway 280 area.
