Slow Streets on Hearst moves ahead, slowly

The first phase of public outreach regarding the proposal to include Hearst Avenue (in the Outer Mission neighborhood of Sunnyside) in the SFMTA Slow Streets program has now closed. The response was largely positive. Read full results of the outreach process here.

Free Covid Testing

Free covd-19 testing is available every Monday (10 AM to 6 PM) at the Crocker Amazon Playground Parking Lot (Moscow Street between Italy and France; additional parking on Geneva).

No preregistration or ID required. For all ages. Program sponsored by the San Francisco Dept of Public Health and other organizations.

ALSO: Additional pop-up testing site on Saturday, October 24th (10 AM to 6 PM) at the Valente Parking, 4840 Mission Street (walk through to rear).

SNA District 7 Candidates’ Forum

On Monday October 5th, Sunnyside Neighborhood Association is sponsoring a Candidates’ Forum for District 7. 6:30 – 8:00 PM, via Zoom. All seven candidates will be present. Subjects will range through these areas of local interest: Monterey commercial development, the Balboa Reservoir development, housing and zoning, property crime, City College, participatory budgeting, and Covid-19 policy.
