Longstanding trash and dumping issue at Balboa Reservoir featured in SF Examiner

Mon Dec 11: Balboa Reservoir community meeting — Traffic on the agenda

Things are moving faster now that the developer team, AvalonBay/BRIDGE, has been chosen for the housing project for this huge site south of Sunnyside. Community involvement will continue to be a big part of the direction that various aspects of the project take. All interested residents are welcome at the Balboa Reservoir Community Advisory Committee (BRCAC) meetings. Read more about the project at top tab.

When: Monday Dec 11, 2017, 6-8pm.

Where: SF City College Ocean Campus, Multi-Use Building, Room 140, 50 Phelan Ave, San Francisco CA.

What:  The bulk of the meeting will be discussion of the traffic access, circulation, and parking issue, recently identified as primary concerns for local residents.

Nov 30: SFFD Safety Fair at City College

San Francisco Fire Department Fire Prevention and Public Education Community Safety Fair

San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) Battalion 9 will hold a Community Safety Fair for members of the public. This fair will include Fire Prevention and Education material, demonstrations, and answers to inspection questions. SFFD EMS members will teach hands only CPR, and our Recruitment team will be available to answer questions related to our Departments hiring process. Monday: Balboa Reservoir Project community meeting

The Balboa Reservoir Community Advisory Committee (BRCAC) is meeting this evening. The CAC is the focus of local community participation in planning the housing development at the Balboa Reservoir. All residents are welcome at the meetings of the BRCAC. Monday Nov 13, 6:15-8pm, Multi-Use Building, Room 140, 55 Phelan Avenue, San Francisco CA.

Nov 13: Balboa Reservoir Project community meeting

Now that the selection of the developer for the Balboa Reservoir site has been made, the prospect of the new housing project directly to the south is becoming more real for residents in Sunnyside. Community involvement through the Balboa Reservoir Community Advisory Committee (BRCAC) will be an ongoing process for at least the next 12 months, as the developer is called to develop plans that mitigate the impacts–parking, traffic and public amenities–on Sunnyside and other adjacent neighborhoods.
