Apr 20-21: Balboa Reservoir Open House for public review and comment

On Friday Apr 20 and Saturday Apr 21, the developer team AvalonBay/BRIDGE will host an open house for the public review and comment on the Balboa Reservoir housing project plans.

When: Friday Apr 20, 2-6pm and Saturday Apr 21, 10am-2pm.

Where: 1100 Ocean Ave Community Room, off Unity Plaza next to Philz.

Monday Apr 9: See the plans for Balboa Reservoir housing project

The developer team will be showing their plans for the Balboa Reservoir housing project at the next meeting of the Balboa Reservoir Community Advisory Committee on Monday Apr 9, 6-8pm, at the CCSF Multi-Use Building. This community meeting offers an opportunity not only for local residents to see the plans, but to comment on them.

Now that the City has approved the Fiscal Feasibility Report, the plan presented at this meeting will be closer to the final version. Then it goes into the environmental review process. SF Examiner: Phelan Avenue to be renamed Frida Kahlo Way after public vote

After a public vote that included City College of San Francisco and the surrounding neighborhood, Phelan Avenue’s contentious name will be replaced with that of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

The name change is an effort to strip away the legacy of former San Francisco Mayor James Duval Phelan from street signs in the area. Balboa Reservoir news, including upcoming open house event

We would like to remind you that the next Balboa Reservoir CAC Meeting will be held on Monday, April 9th, 6pm at the City College Multi-Use Building, room 140. The development team will be providing updates based on feedback heard to date. The agenda (PDF).

We would also like to announce that on April 20 and 21, the development team will be hosting open house events in the neighborhood. Community members will have the opportunity to learn more about and offer feedback on the housing, open space, and public amenities in the development team’s refined base case plan.
