Inaugural Meeting of Balboa Reservoir CAC

Last night we had our first meeting which focused on all the nuts and bolts of getting us started to work together.  These documents covers the materials that the City departments made regarding the various aspects of the project.

At the meeting, the CAC elected their Vice Chair and Chair. Lisa Spinali will be serving as Chair while Kate Favetti from Westwood Park will be the Vice Chair.

Balboa Reservoir Project

As Sunnyside plays an important role in the future of what happens with the Balboa Reservoir Site, we have added this resource page for future use.

In general, all materials that the City posts for the committee can be found online on the BRCAC website: http://www.sf-planning.org/index.aspx?page=4224.

Balboa Reservoir Public Workshop Flyer

Save the Date: Second Public Workshop on May 5th!
Since our first public workshop on January 21st, the City has continued its outreach with a series of meetings with individual neighborhood groups, community service providers and business owners. Join us for our second workshop as we summarize all the community feedback we’ve received to date and explore the most cited priorities in greater detail. Add to the conversation by sharing which public amenities you think could best serve the community’s needs.

Date: Tuesday, May 5, 2015
Time: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Location: CCSF Multi-Use Building Room 140, 50 Phelan Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94112
RSVP: an optional RSVP link is here. The event is free and open to the public. RSVP or tickets are not mandatory, but helpful to ensure we have enough materials and refreshments.

CCSF is ADA accessible. For language assistance or disability accommodations, please contact Jeremy Shaw at jeremy.shaw@sfgov.org or 415-575-9135 with your request at least three business days in advance.

New Online Forum
A Sunnydale resident created a public google group and discussion board to help further an open, productive conversation. Anyone with an e-mail account can join, and we will do our best to respond, clarify and moderate on the forum. However, for all official City communication, please see the project website.

Community Amenity Survey
If you have not already taken the community amenity survey at a public meeting or online, please take the survey by Monday, April 20th.

Catch up online!

CAC Meetings and the Future:
A new Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC) representing nearby neighborhoods, businesses and other stakeholders will begin holding monthly meetings for public discussion and feedback. The CAC will continue to provide input to the City as the project continues into the next phases, including:

  •  Fall 2015 – Release of Request for Development Proposals (RFP)
  •  2016-2017 – Community Design Meetings
