District 7’s Participatory Budget Community Meeting on Dec. 8th
Dear District 7 Community Members,
I hope you will be able to join me this upcoming Monday for District 7’s 2014-15 Participatory Budget Community Meeting. We are calling on neighborhood groups and community members to develop project ideas for $300,000 we set aside for pedestrian safety and quality-of-life improvements in District 7.
Come learn about the projects selected last year that improved open spaces and civic activity in our District, and how you can apply for funding to improve your school, your neighborhood park or your street.
I am looking forward to hearing from all of you about project ideas. Please stop by on Monday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at the West Portal Playground Clubhouse (131 Lenox) to learn more about Participatory Budgeting and the type of proposals we are accepting. At the end of March, District 7 residents will get the chance to vote on the final projects to fund.
KICK-OFF COMMUNITY MEETING
Monday, December 8, 2014 | 6:00pm to 7:30pm
