Celebrating SF Stairway Month: Join the Sunnyside Garden and Stairway Walk!

The Detroit Steps Project (DSP) is thrilled to announce a fantastic event to celebrate San Francisco Stairway Month and highlight one of our community’s latest accomplishments: the newly completed Painted Stairway located on the Upper Detroit Steps at 400 Monterey Blvd!

Step Into Sunnyside History

We’re inviting you to join us for a Sunnyside First: the Sunnyside Garden and Stairway Walk! This is a perfect chance to get some fresh air, meet your neighbors, and appreciate the unique charm of Sunnyside.

  • When: Sunday, October 26th, from 2-4 PM
  • Starting Point: 236 Monterey Blvd (This is the Sunnyside Conservatory area)
  • What: A delightful walk from the Sunnyside Conservatory to the Painted Detroit Steps, winding through Sunnyside’s hidden parks and parklets.

This special walking tour will be led by Amy O’Hair of the Sunnyside History Project. She’ll share fascinating stories and insights into the history of our neighborhood, bringing the local landscape to life!
