Covid-19 crisis update: Monterey Blvd businesses that provide food are still serving the community, while hair salons and other personal service-type businesses are still closed, as per requirements of the City.  News: Two previously closed restaurants, Shanghai Dumpling King and Won Kok. at the corner of Gennessee Street, are now open for pick up or delivery orders. Also, Monterey Auto Service (570 Monterey) is now open Mon-Fri (8 AM-6 PM) and Saturday mornings.

Bay Wheels bike share station at Monterey and Gennessee is generally being kept stocked with bikes, though on this Friday there were only electrics.

• Owner Almir says they have in stock: Toilet paper, eggs, milk, disinfectant, surface cleaners, gloves–cookies and ice cream, too!
• For customer use they have gloves and alcohol pads.
• Almir will deliver locally if you are putting in a large order.

Much remains still closed, such as the cleaners at Foerster St, the two dance schools, Happy Lashes, Ty’s Barber Shop, Monterey Salon, Heff’s Barber Shop, Sol y Luna Spa, and Amazing Look Salon.

The Sunnyside Elementary School yard is still open daily for use by local families, with social distancing.
