A new and unique opportunity for Sunnyside kids: As a result of SNA’s work with Rec&Parks, ten spots are being pre-reserved just for children ages 11-14 from the Sunnyside neighborhood at a new, 2 week Eco-Camp at Sunnyside Playground (week 1, 7/29 – 8/2) and Camp Mather (week 2, 8/5 – 8/9).

If you live in Sunnyside and would like to pre-reserve a place for your child, send your request to: info@sunnysideassociation.org . Details:The deadline for pre-enrollment is March 8, 2019. 

If SNA receives more than 10 requests, we will randomly select participants by lottery. Those not selected may register along with the general public for one of the 10 additional spots during the city-wide Rec&Parks registration, which opens on March 16, 2019.

Eco-Camp Sunnyside/Mather Expedition

Participants may only register for one session and must attend the entire first week to go on the trip to Camp Mather. The first week is a day camp held at the Sunnyside clubhouse where campers will enjoy learning about the diverse habitat and eco-systems of the area through day hikes, activities and exploring. The second week features a 5 day / 4 night overnight expedition to Camp Mather, near Yosemite National Park, where campers will teepee camp and have the opportunity to participate in Camp Mather’s amazing activities like canoe rides, archery, tie-dye and more. To drop as early as 8am and pick up by 6pm, during the Eco Camp week, please purchase extended care.
