From the City’s DAAS (Dept of Aging and Adult Services): There will be a city-wide series of upcoming forums, so that the city can hear from the community about the needs of Older Adults and Adults with Disabilities.
With the passage of the Prop I – The Dignity Fund, DAAS is implementing a comprehensive needs assessment plan which includes these forums. Forums are being held in all supervisoral districts. The District 7 Forum will be held November 1, 2017 at West Portal Clubhouse, 131 Lenox Way. 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Interpretation available: Cantonese, Russian. However, anyone can attend any of the district forums listed.
At these forums DAAS will discuss the needs assessment process, timeline, goals and outcomes. More importantly, it’s an opportunity to elicit from the community vital information about the current aging and adult services system’s strengths, challenges and barriers.
