Today an observer saw a young woman emerging from a house on Monterey whose sidewalk was festooned, and so asked if she was in fact the artist responsible for the flurry of them on the first block of the boulevard. But she denied it and said she was just copying the mysterious young man she had recently observed in the act of chalking.
