Over the past week, there has been several auto thefts in Sunnyside. 

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), San Francisco ranks as one of the top cities for car thefts. 

No one is safe from vehicular theft. Use common sense when parking or leaving your car for the night. Make sure you lock up, remove your valuables and never leave the area while your car is running.  Other suggestions include parking in a lit area and investing in an after market anti-theft device.  Anything that will make a thieft think twice about stealing a car is a good idea.
