Sunnyside Sunday weather brought a great crowd out to the Glen Park Festival on Sunday, April 29th. Festival goers stopped by the SNA booth to get information on the association, enter the raffle, and take a piece of Sunnyside home with them. Our esteemed President and quite crafty gal Lisa Spinali created a mosaic of a mosaic, turning the Sunnyside Elementary mosaic into magnets which were handed out at the Festival.
We had Supervisor Scott Weiner from District 8 came by the booth to say hi. Here he is chatting with Lisa and Richard Goldman. Ray Kutz, treasurer is in the background having a nice chat.
Thanks for all who stopped by and to those who helped with the booth. The neighborhood association membership increased 10% with new residents joining the association on Sunday. New members and current members, all had a great time and all are looking forward to the SNA meeting on May 7th.
Above are some of SNA’s current board members, President Lisa Spinali, Vice President Renee Espinosa, Treasurer Ray Kutz and Secretary Estelle Smith.
One of the executives from Nextdoor.com stopped by to congratulate Sunnyside on being a great model for what their vision of Nextdoor.com would represent. They mentioned how active our neighborhood site is and how they regularly reference the Sunnyside site when promoting Nextdoor.com. A lot of credit goes to Richard Goldman (pictured below) for all of his hard work in creating the Sunnyside Nextdoor.com site.
Thanks to everyone for making the Glen Park Festival, Sunnyside Neighborhood Association event a success!
